«Road Safety Russia» welcomes participants of the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2012 to join up for road safety enhancement in Russia and across the globe

29 August 2012

The Moscow International Automobile Salon'2012 (MIAS) will be held from 29 August to 9 September 2012 in Crocus Expo IEC. It is a major event in the world of motor vehicles alongside with other largest international car shows. The «Road Safety Russia» organization welcomes visitors to its stand specially designed with the support of the State Road Traffic Police at the Ministry of the Interior of Russian Federation. It will be the only public organization at the exhibition to remind motor vehicle manufacturers of their social responsibility because the cars are considered to be one of the most dangerous transport vehicles.

"Our prime objective at the MIAS is to interact closely with all car manufacturers calling for their social responsibility and to draw public attention to road safety issues in Russia" said Natalia Agre, president of the «Road Safety Russia». “Our stand will focus public attention on urgent road safety problems and ways of their solution. We plan to deliver information about our activities, cooperation with the various state authorities and the Russian State Road Traffic Police, in particular. We’ll also present examples of our social campaigns and hold meetings with motor vehicle manufacturers”.

The topical subject ‘A car and a child’ remains inevitable for the upcoming MIAS-2012. Safety on roads is one of the burning issues in the modern world and child safety is twice urgent. In this respect, a special playground dedicated to road traffic rules will be arranged for young motorists at the exposition again. It is another reason the «Road Safety Russia» to take part in the MIAS. The experts working at the stand of the «Road Safety Russia» will tell not only about the social campaigns which have been staged by the organization but also will share know-how of the successful marketing. They will disclose, in particular, the reasons why it is important nowadays for a brand to become a societal phenomenon and how it can affect the consumers’ confidence.

«Road Safety Russia» is a public organization which aims to integrate the efforts of business circles, state authorities and civil society in creating culture of safe driving and improving road safety in Russia. It is a recognized expert in the field of road traffic safety and stages nationwide social projects in partnership with the State Road Traffic Police at the Ministry of the Interior of Russian Federation to foster the culture of safe road behavior and mutual respect among all road users.

Experts of the organization together with the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research have conducted multiple studies on culture of safe road behavior, sense of respect among all road users, knowledge of road traffic rules, mass media coverage of the road safety issues, road traffic offenses, attitude to excessive speeding, safety of pedestrians, use of child safety seats, etc.

Since 2005 «Road Safety Russia» in partnership with the State Road Traffic Police and with the support of the Russian Association of Motor Insurers has been staging and arranging different social events focused on road safety. These initiatives touch upon such issues as drunk driving, interrelations between drivers and pedestrians, non-observance of traffic signs and rules of child transportation, passenger rights, excessive speeding (“Had a drink? Don’t start up!”, “Get glowing! Be bright on the road”, “Last oncoming lane”, “Road Safety School”, “Passenger right”, “Child Seat to Children”, “No Rush” campaigns). All these projects were highly appreciated by the world advertisement expert society and won awards on such advertisement festivals as Red Apple, Golden Hammer, Golden Drum, Kiev International Advertising Festival, White Square, ADCR, ADCE, Idea, Advision Awards, Global Road Safety Film Awards and others.
