    Since 24 May a clay animation about seat belts entitled “Palekh Box” has been broadcast on the Pervyi, Rossiya 2 (Sport), and Rossiya 24 television channels. The advert was created as the central element of the large-scale “Buckle Up!” public awareness campaign, which is being conducted by the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in partnership with the Russian Association of Motor Insurers and the NGO Road Safety Russia.   • Seat belts clicked in Arkhangelsk

    On Saturday 18 May the nationwide “Buckle Up!” public awareness campaign arrived in Arkhangelsk. Educational activities for the whole family were held near the Petromost shopping centre on Leningradsky Avenue as part of the campaign, which aims to improve driver and passenger safety.   • Volgograd tries out road crash simulator

    On 18 May Volgograd became the latest city to host an event for the nationwide “Buckle Up!” public awareness campaign. Volgograd residents and visitors to the city, on their own or with the whole family, took part in a range of activities to promote driver and passenger safety.   • "Why do we need seat belts?" - new training film by Road Safety Russia

    "Why do we need seat belts?" - the title of a new training film to showcase to the students of driving schools and drivers of taxi fleets. The film was shot by "Road Safety Russia" in closed cooperation with Road Traffic Safety Department experts and experts of "Active Security" driving school. It consists of several parts devoted to the history of seat belt invention, explains how to use seat belts properly, shows theirs effectiveness etc. The screening will begin at the end of May in the cities, where the social campaign "Buckle up!" will pass.
